Marcelo was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He began training Jiu-Jitsu at the age of sixteen at Carlson Gracie Academy in Copacabana, Brazil under the direction of Marcelo Saporito (Carlson Gracie Black Belt).   • Raphael Chavez, also known as “Catatau” is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, famous in the Nogi competition circuit and a BJJ coach. Having dwelled with MMA and Nogi, Chavez has achieved important titles in several important organizations, such as the Naga, Arnold Classic and Copa America, having also obtained a Bronze Medal in the Nogi World Championships (2009).     Professor Raul Montolfo was a direct student and Black Belt under Legendary Master Carlos Gracie Jr and has been with Professor Fabio Leopoldo since Professor Fabio first came to the United States. With over 10 years of training and a teaching certificate in Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Professor Raul is an excellent instructor with a detailed and deep understanding of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Professor Raul received his Brown Belt Directly under Master Gracie at the main Academy in Brazil in December 2007 and is one of only a few Americans to gain rank in Brazil at the Gracie headquarters there. Now a black belt and Senior instructor at Gracie Morumbi, Professor Raul has gained a wealth of experience and techniques in the rich art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by training with many of the great Jiu Jitsu competitors and Instructors throughout the world.     Roan “Jucao” Carneiro Technique Videos

     

    You can find Jucao mixing it up in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Octagon representing powerhouse “American Top Team”. Roan has been training with the likes of Ricardo Liborio, Howard Davis Jr., Marcelo Garcia, Thiago “Pitbull” Alves, Marcus “Maximus” Aurelio along with a host of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts. Roan also hosts the Atlanta chapter of The American Top Team. If Roan looks familiar it’s because he can be seen on BET’s hit MMA show “The Iron Ring”. American Top Team Atlanta played host to the show and Roan refereed several of the fights shown on the series.     Shawn Williams Technique Videos

     

    One of the most talented Jiu Jitsu competitors to have come out of the American East Coast, Shawn Williams is also a Renzo Gracie black belt (having become at the time of the accomplishment only the fifth American to graduate in BJJ in history) after a lifelong time of training under the Gracie master and alongside fighters such as Matt Serra, John Danaher, Ricardo Almeida and Rodrigo Gracie.     Vanessa is a world-class trainer and fitness professional with a martial arts background in Kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
