The missing link to physical performance enhancement is a carefully designed, scientifically-based nutrition and supplementation program. There is precious little information out there addressing this key topic in the world of BJJ. We know of too many people who train their butt off and then go out after class and slam the post-workout meal at some fast food joint. Training, on the mat, or with S&C is just a stimulus. How well your body adapts and responds to that stimulus is determined by what you do outside the gym and mostly by what, how and when you eat! Specific training programs create unique and specific metabolic and nutritional demands. As such, the real goal of any nutritional program is to meet the momentary nutritional demands of your body so that you can maximize everything your training program is stimulating.
